1. About the Shop

The GRSPCA Charity Shop is operated by the Garden Route SPCA (GRSPCA), a registered animal welfare organisation based in the Garden Route, South Africa. All proceeds from sales fund the rescue, care, and rehoming of animals in need.

The shop operates from two branches:

• George - 1 Ossie Urban Rd, Tamsui (044 878 1990)
• Mossel Bay - 18 Bill Jeffrey Ave, Kwanonqaba (044 693 0824)

2. Products

All items sold in our charity shop are pre-loved (second-hand) donations, unless explicitly stated otherwise. As such:

• Items are sold as-is and may show signs of wear consistent with their age and use.
• Product descriptions and condition ratings (Excellent, Good, Fair) are provided in good faith and represent our honest assessment.
• Images are representative of the actual item listed.
• Once an item is marked as sold, it is no longer available for purchase.

3. Pricing

All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. Prices are set at the discretion of the GRSPCA Charity Shop and may change without prior notice. The price displayed at the time of your order is the price you will be charged.

Delivery costs (if applicable) are not included in the listed item price and will be communicated to you after purchase by our team.

4. Ordering and Payment

By completing a purchase on our website, you are making an offer to buy the selected item(s). Your order is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed via PayFast.

• Payment is processed securely by PayFast (Pty) Ltd. We do not store your card or banking details.
• Accepted payment methods are those offered by PayFast, including credit/debit cards and EFT.
• Orders are only confirmed once full payment has been received.

5. Fulfilment - Delivery & Collection

After payment, a member of our team will contact you to arrange fulfilment. You may choose:

• Collection - collect your item from our George or Mossel Bay branch at a mutually agreed time during shop hours.
• Delivery - delivery is available at an additional cost to be agreed upon. Delivery is arranged independently and the GRSPCA Charity Shop takes no responsibility for loss or damage during transit.

We aim to contact you within 2 business days of a confirmed order. Shop hours may vary - please confirm with your nearest branch.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

As a charity shop selling pre-loved goods, we have a no-refund, no-return policy once an item has been collected or delivered, except in the following circumstances:

• The item was materially misrepresented in its description or images.
• The item is unavailable or cannot be fulfilled after payment.

In the above cases, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

If you wish to cancel an order before collection or delivery, please contact us immediately at charityshop@grspca.co.za. Cancellations are considered at our discretion.

7. Consumer Protection

These terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act, No. 68 of 2008 where applicable. Nothing in these terms is intended to limit your rights under applicable South African consumer protection legislation.

8. Limitation of Liability

The GRSPCA Charity Shop and the Garden Route SPCA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the purchase or use of items sold through this shop. Our total liability in relation to any order shall not exceed the amount paid for that order.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of the GRSPCA or its content providers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute any content without prior written permission.

10. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions. By purchasing from us, you consent to the processing of your personal information as described in that policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the shop constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
